So now your challenge...and another hint. Our tag line for our store is: Serving up quality scrapbooking supplies with a smile...and a side of awesome sauce.
Your challenge is to scrap your take on our tag line. Do you want to scrap you serving something? Maybe something you just cooked? You could even do your scrapping supplies. Whatever . Just have fun with it!!

Nah, It's because -- I'll give you one hint: We are a brand new store and haven't opened. yet. So things will be a little different. I will give you your challenge, and you will post it here in the NDISB gallery. Once our store opens (June 1st!) we will have a special gallery for you. If you put your layout in our gallery, you will be rewarded with your challenge prize. The catch? Well, I can't give you the link to our gallery yet. I will come back on the 1st and edit this post with our links!!
Trust me, you won't be disappointed at all with the prizes!

Since Karen did the last roadblock, Susan will do this one for us. One thing I can see that the site boo-boo'd on is the requirement to post at their site to get the prize. The official gallery is NDISB, so they can't have that a requirement!

Challenge 7 is up at DSAG!
Are you ready to get scrapping?
7th Stop May 27th
Welcome to the Digital Scrapbook Artisan Guild, home of the Artisan Notebook. We hope you saw our more formal welcome on our home page. Each month the editors of the Artisan Notebook take an in-depth look at a specific topic or idea to help readers grow in their artistic expression utilizing this craft. The theme for the May issue was titled, “You’ve Got Personality!” We took an in-depth look at how to use scrapbook layouts to capture the personalities of those we love.
To give you a sense of our publication we are providing on excerpt of the May 2012 issue. We will be basing our challenge on the Color Me! Color Challenge featured in this issue.
Theme: Using color to describe a personality
Challenge:
1) Download the May 2012 Artisan Notebook Excerpt HERE
2) Read the Color Me! Color Challenge article for information and ideas about how to use color to express personality.
3) Create EITHER an "All About Me" layout OR a layout about someone special in your life.
4) Choose a color using the "common color associations" chart provided in the article that can describe an aspect of that person's personality.
5) Use that color in your layout and include journaling that describes why you think of that color when you think of the person you are scrapping about.
6) There are no restrictions regarding the use (or non-use) of photos or elements.
7) Post your completed layout in the ADSR 7.7 gallery at NDISB no later than 11:59 PM on Sunday, June 3.
There are several examples and inspirational ideas of the types of layouts you can create included in the article.
Here is a peek at the prize you will receive for completing this challenge. We have compiled a sampler kit taking a lit bit of this and a little bit of that from several of last year’s Guild kits so that you can get a taste of what our kits are all about. We hope you like it!

Recipe for Adventure!
Welcome
to by the Shore
designs…whether you are participating in ADSR7 (the Amazing
Digital Scrap Race) and are on a detour or are simply stopping by to say hello –
I’m glad you’re here. The Amazing Digital Scrap Race is hosted by Natural Designs in
Scrapbooking and we are all having a blast. I just love all of the
layouts that are showing up in the gallery so far!
Are you ready for a digital scrapbooking challenge?
I decided to serve you a Recipe Challenge as you need to stay nourished on this
journey. One of my favorite recipes is a
Three Bean Casserole. My favorite aunt, Bonnie, shared this recipe with me years
ago and I hope she's okay that I spread the love. It’s
easy to make and is a real crowd pleaser. (Check the end of this post for the
recipe) OK, back to the detour! This
ADSR7 detour is a layout challenge – A Recipe for Adventure. Make sure you use all 7 “ingredients” and
create a layout following the recipe directions.
The most important part is to have fun!
RECIPE FOR
ADVENTURE!
Ingredients:
1.
One cool beverage
2.
Facebook Freebie from by
the Shore designs - here
3.
Two Patterned Papers
(minimum – add more if desired)
4.
Two Solid Papers
(minimum – add more, if desired)
5.
Three
photographs
6.
Three different elements
(you can use these elements multiple times if desired)
7.
Two favorite
fonts
Directions:
Grab your favorite beverage (see ingredient one)
and enjoy! It’s important to stay hydrated on your adventure!
The word ADVENTURE must appear somewhere on your
layout. Head over to my facebook page,
‘like’ me, and download my ADSR7 Freebie.
At least one item from this freebie must be added to your layout.
Add the remaining ingredients (special note: ingredient one should NOT be added to your page) You may always add more to your layout, but the required ingredients listed above must be included. Mix well, season to taste.
When you have completed your layout – head on over
to NDISB and upload it to our Challenge and
Contest gallery. Make sure you tell
us in the comments what beverage you were enjoying (ingredient one) For the
record, I am currently enjoying a cold diet caffeine free Dr.

For everyone that successfully completes this
detour and posts their layout in the gallery no later than May 17th,
I will send a discount coupon to my store at NDISB (will be a private message on

Challenge Two is at With Love Studio
Challenge 2 ADSR 7
With Love Because of . . . Challenge
With Love Studio wants scrapbooking to be fun and meaningful. We all have interesting and important stories to tell and share with our loved ones. Your life is different (better, hopefully, but not necessarily) because of something or someone. Maybe it's a spouse or a child. Maybe it's a significant or unexpected life event or decision (taking a leap of faith-new job, moving, etc).
We want you to make a layout telling us about that person or life changing event. Our challenge is pretty simple, but we hope it will be a meaningful layout for your collection.
Rules:
You can use more than two, but your layout must include at least two photos representing the subject of your layout.
Your title must include the words "Because of" but cannot contain the word "you"
You must journal about your person or event.
Thanks for stopping by With Love Studio. Please feel free to post your layout in our galleries HERE
http://withlovestudio.net/gallery/showg ... hp?cat=553
so we can leave you lots of love. Most importantly - make sure you post your layout in the ADSR Gallery by the deadline.
Good luck! We can't wait to see all the fabulous layouts!
Everyone who completes this challenge will win a $5.00 Gift Certificate for any item in the With Love Studio Shop.

Challenge One is from NDISB
Welcome Race Fans!! It's time...
1st STOP- Sunday 6th of May
NDISB Challenge for ADSR7
Hi Racers, Welcome to your first stop on the Amazing Digi Scrapping Race!
First, an important Note:
This challenge is a Fast Forward challenge.
It MUST be completed by BOTH team Members BUT the first team to finish (and post both completed layouts) may skip the next challenge to be posted on May 9th IF THEY WISH!
Now, onto the challenge
For this challenge you must use just one single photo that you are really unhappy with. It can be of anyone or anything, any theme, any place, a pet, a person, it can be out of focus, it can be off colour, it could have something 'growing' out of someone head - absolutely anything!
The challenge is for you to turn it into a layout that you love!
Here's Karen's layout:
Journaling: I was trying to get a photo of the new leaves opening on our locust tree. The camera had ideas of its own, it focused on everything BUT the leaves! So, here's my fuzzy locust leaves this spring, LOL!
And here's Susan's layout:
Journaling reads: This photo happened all on its own in the dark ages before digital photography. Malfunctioning at the end of the roll of film, the camera layered 3 or 4 images of Lismore atop each other, plus the ghosted image. It creates a rather mysterious air about this lovely castle, no matter how you hold it!
